Privacy policy

This policy explains what personal data triedagents.com ("triedagents", "we") collects, why, and what you can do about it. Short version: we do not set cookies, we use cookieless aggregated analytics, and if you subscribe we store your email address to send the newsletter.

1. Who is responsible

triedagents, reachable at hello@triedagents.com. Email us with any privacy question or request.

2. Visiting the site: hosting and server logs

The site is hosted by Vercel. Like any web host, Vercel receives standard request data when you load a page, such as your IP address, browser user agent, the page requested, the referring page and the time. This is used to deliver the site, keep it secure and fix errors. We do not use it to identify or profile visitors.

3. Analytics

We use Vercel Web Analytics to count page views. It does not use cookies. According to Vercel, visitors are distinguished by a hash created from the incoming request, which is discarded after 24 hours, and we only see aggregated data: the page, referrer, filtered query parameters, approximate location (country, region, city), operating system, browser and device type. We cannot identify you from it.

When you use the search box, your search words are added to the page address (for example /?q=flights) so searches can be shared. Please do not search for personal information.

4. Newsletter

If you subscribe, the email address you enter is sent to our signup function and added to our contact list at Resend, our email provider. We use it only to send the triedagents newsletter. Open and click tracking is turned off for our emails. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link, and you can also ask us to delete your address at any time. To block abuse, the signup function briefly keeps the requester's IP address in memory for rate limiting (up to 10 minutes) and does not store it. The legal basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.

5. Emailing us

If you email hello@triedagents.com, the message is received through Resend and we keep it as long as needed to reply and to keep a record of corrections or sponsor bookings.

6. Cookies and local storage

We do not set cookies. If you close the sponsor bar, your browser stores one value (ta_sb_hidden_until) in local storage so the bar stays hidden for 7 days. It never leaves your device.

7. Advertising and third-party cookies

We currently show only direct sponsorships (see our disclosure). Sponsor links are ordinary links with UTM tags; clicking one takes you to the sponsor's site, which has its own privacy policy. We do not use third-party advertising cookies, ad networks or tracking pixels.

Before we enable any ad network, such as Google AdSense, we will update this policy with the disclosures it requires. That includes explaining that third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites; how you can opt out of personalised advertising in Google's Ads Settings; and how Google uses data from sites that use its services (policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites). Where the law requires it, we will ask for your consent first.

8. Who we share data with

We do not sell your personal data and do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. We use these service providers, who process data on our behalf: Vercel (hosting and analytics) and Resend (newsletter and email). They may process data in the United States and other countries. We may disclose data if the law requires it.

9. How long we keep data

• Newsletter email address: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.
• Emails to us: as long as needed for the conversation and our records.
• Hosting logs and analytics: kept by Vercel under its own retention limits; analytics are aggregated.

10. Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the EU or UK GDPR, or California's CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, to object to or restrict its use, to withdraw consent, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal data (we do neither). We will not treat you differently for using these rights. Email hello@triedagents.com and we will reply within one month. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

11. Children

The site is not aimed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

12. Changes

If we change this policy we will update this page and the effective date. Material changes, such as enabling an ad network, will be published here before they take effect.
